You decide to set up a business out of your country. What is the place you'd choose? Would you choose  Somalia or Sudan? Or would you choose USA, Canada or a Western European country? Why?

The colonial East India British, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Danish, Norwegians, Spanish & Swedes all wanted India. Why?

In places like Sudan, you have to carry some money in your pocket to give to a potential mugger; or you'd be shot. Would you choose to go there?

If you choose to do business, you need a place where there is law and order, where a healthy culture exists, where people are trusting & liberal enough to allow you to do business.

All these European colonists came to India because of India's wealth & culture. To a civilization that had reached the heights of spirituality & religion, there is nothing useful for these colonists to offer.
