Silencing voices through fear

From a friend: "Have you noticed that the only Chinese voices active are pro-Communist regime? The anti-regime voices simply don't exist; they have been terrorized into silence."
Interesting thought. Has anyone seen anti-regime voices from their Chinese friends, in public or private?
